Professional Conferences
Throughout my time at West Chester University, I was able to attend many conferences. During my Junior and Senior years, I had the opportunity to present at two conferences with two other students. The first conference, in May 2017, was for the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network Project MAX Spring Symposium in Harrisburg, PA. In November 2017, we presented at the PA CEC Annual Conference in Harrisburg, PA. At both of the conferences, we presented a project we performed in class. We adapted the book Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis, so that students with complex instructional needs could be included in the general education classroom. Inside the book, we added a table of contents, a vocabulary page, adapted text, and pictures we created.

Organizations
Through Kappa Delta Pi, Rams for Reading, and Caps Crew, I was able to participate in academic fairs in various school districts. I was able to gain teaching experience in both literacy and math with students of all ages.
